Defending Singapore 7s title will be tough with the new format - Kolinisau

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Coach Osea Kolinisau says defending their Singapore 7s title will be even tougher following changes to the HSBC SVNS World Sevens Series format.

Speaking from Singapore, Kolinisau says strong communication, vocal leadership, and solid defence will be crucial this weekend.

He stresses that players must stay vocal and organised, especially at the breakdown.

Kolinisau also warns that match officials will be strict, particularly on clear releases before contesting for the ball.

He adds that discipline will be key, urging players to control their aggression to avoid unnecessary yellow or red cards.
