Having two new debutants at the Singapore 7s, including Douglas Daveta, who is known for his high energy, and Nacani Boginisoko, who brings skill and physicality, is a major boost for the team.
This was shared by Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Osea Kolinisau from Singapore, who says the team is prepared and ready for the tournament.
Kolinisau says they will focus on taking one game at a time.
He adds that the players have settled in well and are working effectively off the field to maintain focus and discipline ahead of the weekend’s matches.
Kolinisau also says that maintaining strong performances and finishing games well will be key as Fiji enters the tournament as defending champions.
Fiji will open their campaign against Great Britain at 4.32pm on Saturday, followed by Spain at 7.58pm and South Africa at 11.46pm on the same day.
The Men’s Cup semi finals will start at 6.52pm on Sunday and final at 11.41pm.
