The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side is through to the Cup final of the HSBC SVNS New York 7s after defeating Australia 28-7 in the first semi-final this morning.
They now have one hand on the World Sevens Series title.
Australia scored the first points of the match through James Turner to lead 7-0, but Fiji responded through Joseva Talacolo and George Bose to lead 14-7 at halftime.
Fiji came out firing in the second half to ensure they got a place in the final.
They managed to score another two tries through Vuiviawa Naduvalo and Kavekini Tanivanuakula to seal a 28-7 win against Australia.
The Cup final is scheduled for 8.41 this morning.
Looking at the other results, New Zealand defeated Great Britain 31-24 in the first 5th-place semi-final, and France thumped Spain 36-5 in the second semi-final
