Laughter, music and vibrant cultural performances filled Damodar Arts Village as tourists travelling aboard Celebrity Cruises, which is berthed in Suva, experienced a traditional Fijian cultural show during a special visit to the venue, marking the return of cruise visitors to the attraction after many years.

Tourists from different parts of the world were treated to an energetic cultural show featuring traditional dancing, singing, acting and a spectacular fire-walking performance.

One visitor from Morocco described the experience as unforgettable, saying the performance was entertaining and a wonderful showcase of Fiji’s culture.

The tourist also praised the warmth and friendliness of the Fijian people and said the renovated venue was beautiful.

Another visitor, Teddy from New York City says the show was filled with energy and was a great way to experience the country’s traditions.

He says everyone involved in the programme was welcoming and helpful, adding that he would happily return to Fiji in the future.

Nancy, another tourist says she particularly enjoyed the fire-walking performance, describing it as spectacular.

She also commended the acting, singing and overall presentation of the cultural show.

Chief Executive Officer of Damodar Group, Div Damodar says the return of cruise tourists to the arts village was an exciting moment.

Damodar says it was a fantastic day not only for the arts village but also for the wider Navua community, as the visit helps create more opportunities for tourism in the area.
