The Forget Me Not documentary produced and directed by Communications Fiji Limited, is a window into the lives of six Fijian men who chose courage over silence and as their stories unfolded on the screen, the weight of that courage was felt in the room.
This was the atmosphere at the private screening at the British Legion Office as participants of the film, family and friends gathered to watch the documentary.
Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of FM96, LegendFM, VITIFM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam, fijivillage and Magic Factory will premiere the powerful new documentary series, sharing personal stories of identity, trauma, mental health, addiction and resilience tomorrow night.
CFL General Manager, Charles Taylor says the documentary tells stories that matter and building capacity and hearing the voices of not just men but humans.
Taylor says through honest storytelling, the documentary series highlights the real-life challenges men face and the impact of silence and stigma.
He says it's a conversation that men needed to have for a very long time,a conversation about men, about silence, about pressure, and about what it really means to be okay.
