Australian pastry chef and chocolatier Kirsten Tibballs, widely known as the Chocolate Queen, will host her first curated experience in Suva later this month at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
The limited-edition Grand High Tea Buffet will take place on the 22nd of March from 2pm to 4.30pm at the Victoria Lounge Terrace and is open to both hotel guests and members of the public.
Grand Pacific Hotel General Manager Robert Clark says the residency offers Suva locals and visitors a rare opportunity to experience a high tea event at a level not often seen in the capital.
Tickets for the event are $80 per person, with seating strictly limited and bookings required.
Guests attending the high tea can expect Tibballs’ signature patisserie creations including Passionfruit Macarons, Raspberry Financier, Salted Caramel Truffles, Cookie Sandwiches with Orange Ganache and Breton Lemon Meringue Tart.
Following the Suva event, Tibballs will continue her Fiji residency at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa in Natadola Bay from the 25th to the 28th March, where a series of dessert-focused experiences will be held.
These include dessert features at Navo Restaurant, an interactive demonstration limited to the first 20 guests, a Club InterContinental high tea and a beachfront sunset event at Kama.
Organisers say $5 from each sale from selected experiences will be donated to Daulomani Safe Home, supporting shelter and safety for women, children and members of the LGBT+ community facing vulnerable situations.
Bookings for the Suva event can be made through the Grand Pacific Hotel website, by emailing [Restaurant.GPH@ihg.com](mailto:Restaurant.GPH@ihg.com), or by calling 3222000.
