FM96 is set to bring the ultimate celebration to Albert Park this New Year’s Eve with the return of its highly anticipated Big Night Out with Vodafone supported by Legend FM, and the FM96 Big 96 countdown.

The event is proudly sponsored by Vodafone, Sprint, Punjas and TSLS.

Known for its electrifying atmosphere and non-stop entertainment, the event promises to be an unforgettable way to welcome in 2026.

The Big Night Out will run from 6pm until 1am, offering a night filled with high energy performances, awesome music, and plenty of dancing.

As the countdown to midnight begins, the Big Night Out will feature an array of live performances, competitions, and games, ensuring that the whole family has a fantastic time.

Maya Vavaitamana, FM96’s Multimedia Personality and Music Director says it is going to be a night full of energy, fun, and great music.

Vavaitamana says listeners can also tune in to FM96’s Big 96 Countdown with Vodafone, where the top 96 songs of the year will be revealed.

She says throughout the night, there will be a competition for listeners to guess the number one song of the year.

Participants can enter by calling 9923351 or sending a message on the FM96 Facebook page for a chance to win exciting prizes.

She says peple can expect hits from artists like Taylor Swift, who dominated 2025, as well as rising star Olivia Dean, who made waves in the second half of the year.

And, of course, the soundtrack from the hugely popular KPop Demon Hunters movie will also feature in the countdown.

For those attending in person, the night kicks off with food stalls and bouncy castles opening at 4pm, offering a great place for families to enjoy before the event picks up steam.

Live entertainment will be provided by CIWA from 7pm to 8pm, setting the stage for a vibrant evening of music and fun.

The Big Night Out is a family-friendly event, with an alcohol-free policy, making it the perfect gathering for all ages.

People are more than welcome to bring their mats and tanoa with the family, and also be a part of the festivities.
