Fiji Roads Authority contractors are continuing construction of the by-pass road near Semo Village along Queens Highway after a section of the road at the Armco crossing experienced a slip.
FRA says the by-pass road should be ready later today, weather permitting.
In the meantime, traffic has been diverted via Nadiri Road before the affected site, through Sanasana Village, then towards Veisabasaba Village, linking past Tuva Indian School and reconnecting to Queens Road.
FRA says cars and light vehicles are being guided through by their team through this detour.
They say buses and heavy vehicles currently are not accessing this route.
For buses however there is a change over method implemented whereby passengers cross over onto the other side to board the bus.
