Extra Bula FC midfielder Nabil Begg expressed pride and gratitude after helping his team to a 2-all draw against Vanuatu United FC in the opening match of the OFC Pro League at Eden Park, Auckland.
Begg says he would like to thank the Almighty for giving him and his team the opportunity to represent Fiji on the regional stage.
He says he feels very proud and honoured to be part of the first professional football club team from Fiji.
Begg also spoke about his goal in the match, describing it as something that everyone had worked hard for.

Reflecting on the team’s overall performance, Begg says he believes the team played quite a good game.
He says it was their first game and a stepping stone for them, adding that they can only look forward and rise from here.
He also thanked the supporters who turned out in large numbers and acted as the 12th man on the field.
He urged them to keep supporting the team in the upcoming matches.
Bula FC will now shift their focus to their next fixture on Tuesday, where they will face South Island United at 2pm at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.
The side will wrap up Round 1 with a clash against Auckland FC next Friday at 6pm, also at North Harbour Stadium.
Meanwhile, in other matches, Auckland FC delivered a strong 3-nil win against South Island United.
In today’s matches, Tahiti United will take on South Melbourne FC at midday, while PNG Hekari FC will face Solomon King FC at 4pm.
