Joshua Raj, who is originally from India, has been appointed as Bula FC's new Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Raj, who arrived in Fiji last week, has already begun working closely with the squad as preparations ramp up for the OFC Pro League.

He brings over seven years of high-performance fitness experience, having worked with athletes across India, the Middle East and Europe.

He was the Performance Coach for Malappuram FC in the Kerala Super League, where Fijian star Roy Krishna featured as a marquee player last season.

Speaking about his new role, Joshua expressed his excitement for the opportunity to work in Fiji.

He says he hopes things go well and believes there is great potential within the team, which has a mix of young talents and experienced players.

Raj added that the international exposure foreigners bring can add more value to both the team and the staff.

He believes that as they head into the competition, everyone will be on the same page and ready for the challenge.

The Bula FC will take on Vanuatu United FC in the OFC Pro League’s opening match on 17 January at 2pm at Eden Park in Auckland.
