Botitu and Karawalevu shine as Castres defeat Lyon in Top 14 clash

Castres delivered a dominant performance to defeat Lyon 36–22 in their French Top 14 encounter, further building momentum in the competition.

Fiji Water Flying Fijians centre Vilimoni Botitu was a standout, scoring two tries for Castres, while fellow Fijian Vuate Karawalevu also crossed the line to help secure the home win.

Despite a strong showing from Jiuta Wainiqolo,nicknamed the “Fijian Ferrari” who scored two impressive tries for Lyon, his side was unable to match Castres’ all-round brilliance.

Toulouse currently lead the Top 14 points table, followed by Pau in second and Stade Francais in third.
