Anil Kapoor is officially returning for Nayak 2, not just on screen but also behind the scenes as co-producer.

This has been confirmed by filmmaker Deepak Mukut.

Mukut said the sequel to the 2001 political drama Nayak: The Real Hero is in early development, and he is collaborating closely with Kapoor on the project.

While the release date and full cast are yet to be confirmed, Mukut stated that Kapoor will definitely reprise his role.

The original Nayak, directed by Shankar, featured Kapoor as a journalist who becomes Chief Minister for a day, a role that became one of the most iconic in his career.
