Young patients at CWM excited after the Fiji 7s visit

Young patients at the CWM hospital were brimming with excitement as Fiji National Rugby 7s team members paid them a visit which brightened up their day.

The star-struck patients could not contain their excitement as they pointed around in joy at their favorite player.

Semisi Vasuitaukei from Bua who was admitted at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit says he was bored for days at the ward, and upon the visitation of the 7s players, he will surely share the experience with family members in Savusavu.

Vasuitaukei says the experience was magical and memorable.

Fiji Men’s 7s Coach Osea expressed his heartfelt gratitude and told the patients that it was an honour for them to visit them on such short notice.

Kolinisau says the morning visit was therapeutic for the team preparing for the Olympic Games in France in a few days.

He lauded the ability of sick children to smile despite the challenges they faced as they met their idols today, adding that it reminded them of the hope and expectation of every Fijian on the team.

Kolinisau says that if these children can smile through the challenges that they face, then winning the Olympics should not be a major challenge.
