A non-profit charitable organization says there is a great need for assistance on the ground in Navua and they have had to prioritize distribution to those with the greatest need.
Worthy Works Fiji Coordinator Kamal Narayan says there are some very desperate families out there and they will continue to assist them.
He says the daily earnings of most of those they have been assisting is close to zero.
Narayan says while his wife has been laid off, their family is still one of the lucky ones in Navua as he still has a job.
