Worthy Works Fiji assists more than 120 needy families in Navua and Wainadoi

The group which is made up Advisory Councillors, church leaders and other members of the community have people on the ground who identify families that are in need of urgent assistance.

A non-profit charitable organization Worthy Works Fiji has so far assisted more than 120 needy families in the Navua and Wainadoi area who have been badly affected due to the effects of COVID-19.

The group which is made up Advisory Councillors, church leaders and other members of the community have people on the ground who identify families that are in need of urgent assistance.

Coordinator Kamal Narayan says they are currently targeting the elderly, people who are sick and those who are not working due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.

He says there are a number of people who cannot go to Suva to work and are in need or urgent assistance.

Narayan adds they receive more than 40 requests for assistance from people all over Fiji on a daily basis.

He says the daily earnings of most of those they have been assisting is close to zero.
