South Africa defeat Sri Lanka with 109-runs

India’s chances to qualify for the World Test Championship final has taken a massive hit after losing to Australia by 10 wickets yesterday.

India will now have only three more tests in this series to make changes, focus and win the remaining matches to secure a spot in the final.

Meanwhile, South Africa have moved a step closer to the final after defeating Sri Lanka with a 109-run victory.

South Africa needed just 14.1 overs to take the five remaining Sri Lanka wickets on day five in the Eastern Cape and secure a 2-0 series win that takes them above Australia to the top of the WTC table.
