Minister for Health Dr Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu has confirmed this to fijivillage News saying funding has gone through.
Dr Lalabalavu says they have used this opportunity to have regular discussions between the Ministries of Health and Public Works and that is what they are doing.
He says amongst the issue of discussion is better communication and prioritizing urgent capital improvements of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
Only 4 out of 8 operating theatres are operational as revealed by Doctor Lalabalavu on fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan, as there is a huge backlog of surgeries.
