Wood’s hat-trick help Forest defeat Newcastle

Chris Wood scored a hat-trick on his return to St James' Park as Nottingham Forest ended a seven-game winless run with a stunning Premier League victory at Newcastle by 3-1.

The result moves Forest up to 16th in the table and five points clear of the bottom three before Tuesday's other fixtures.

Chris Wood scored for Nottingham Forest while Alexander Isak scored for Newcastle.

Both teams were locked 1-all at halftime.

In other matches today, Bournemouth thrashed Fulham 3-0, Luton Town beat Sheffield United 3-2 while Liverpool is leading Burnely by 1-0.

In the other matches today Manchester United will face Aston Villa at 8am.
