Woman who said she was drugged and abducted remanded in custody

19-year-old Mereseini Bulivorovoro at Nausori Magistrates Court

19-year-old Mereseini Bulivorovoro who is charged with two counts of Giving False Information to a Public Servant has been further remanded in custody by the Nausori Magistrates Court.

Charges were read and explained to her in the i-Taukei language.

She has opted for a private counsel.

Magistrate Lasitha Chaminda has remanded her in custody.

Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Biu Matavou had earlier said that initial information provided by the woman said that she was drugged and abducted late last month and had found herself in a strange home in Bau.

He says Police established that she gave false information to them.

The case has been adjourned to tomorrow for mention.
