A woman in her 60s has died following an accident in Savusavu.
Police say she was one of ten passengers travelling in a four-wheel drive vehicle driven by a man in his 30s.
It's alleged the driver failed to negotiate a bend along the Buca Bay Road near Vatudamu, resulting in the accident.
The woman was taken to the Savusavu Hospital, where medical officials confirmed her death.
Police say two passengers remain admitted at the Labasa Hospital as investigations continue.
The driver will be brought in for questioning soon.
The national road death toll currently stands at 26 compared to 24 for the same period last year.
