The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s National Team is setting its sights on winning gold at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, with the aim of preserving and building on their proud legacy.
This was highlighted by Coach Osea Kolinisau during the Shaping Fiji Rugby symposium held today at Albert Park.
Kolinisau emphasized that the team's mission is not just about competing, but about creating a lasting legacy—one defined by Olympic medals, especially gold.
He says they are striving to maintain a legacy where Fiji consistently wins gold and that drives the players, and him as a coach.
Kolinisau says winning silver in Paris didn’t sit well with them.
He noted that he has repeatedly told the team they have unfinished business.
Kolinisau stressed that their ultimate aim is to keep Fiji at the top of the global rugby sevens stage.
With the upcoming season already mapped out, Kolinisau says the team is focused on growing and expanding its depth to be fully prepared for the road to Los Angeles.
