Winner of Melbourne Cup to get AUD $4.4 million

The winner of the Melbourne Cup this year will get Australian $4.4 million in prize money.

A total of $8 million prize money is up for grabs this year.

Some of the favorites are Incentivise, Spanish Mission, Verry Elleegant and defending champion Twilight Payment.

Meanwhile, 10,000 vaccinated fans will be in the stands tomorrow to witness the race that stops a nation.

The Melbourne Cup race will be around 4pm tomorrow.
