Why no mention of contact tracing efforts through CareFiji app - Qereqeretabua

Lenora Qereqeretabua of the Opposition.

National Federation Party MP, Lenora Qereqeretabua has questioned why there was no mention of contact tracing efforts through the CareFiji app to track down and isolate those who had come into contact with crew members of the cargo ship berthed at Lautoka and Suva ports.

Qereqeretabua says there was no mention of this app in the briefings done by the Ministry of Health.

While speaking in parliament, Qereqeretabua says a few days ago we had the first taste of when the borders will re-open and the Ministry of Health scrambled to isolate health personnel and others who had come into contact with the crew members of the cargo ship.

She says the Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum had told them earlier that this app was designed for this purpose.

Qereqeretabua has also questioned what has happened to the $10,000 prize-money for the best-decorated home for Fiji Day.
