Boston Celtics’ point guard Derrick White played an instrumental role for his side as he scored 34 points, including seven 3-pointers, to help them claim a 127-102 Game 5 win over the New York Knicks, and keep them alive in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The 30-year-old also made 3 rebounds and 2 assists and played a total of 40 minutes in the game.
The Knicks took out the 1st quarter 32-30 before the Celtics bounced back to claim the second quarter 29-27.
The Celtics then pulled away with the game in the 3rd and 4th quarters, claiming both of them 32-17 and 36-26, respectively.
The Knicks will try again to win the series tomorrow in New York, and if the Celtics win, Game 7 would be in Boston on Monday.
The Celtics are looking to become just the 14th team in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 deficit in 294 attempts.
The Knicks still lead 3-2 despite the loss.
