Permanent Secretary Dr. James Fong.

Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong says when they reveal the travel history of a COVID-19 case and their family, the particular family ends up getting negative comments.

Doctor Fong says they only reveal and outline the necessary information that will help the public and help in contact tracing.

He says one of the things that he learnt from the Cunningham family was that when he started to name where they went to, there were a lot of bad comments thrown around about them.

He says he is very mindful of the fact that these families like the Makoi family had presented themselves to the health facilities and they should not be blamed for getting the virus.
