(L-R): Sharyne Fong, Chief Executive Officer, Leadership Fiji, and Shane Smith, Chief Executive Officer, Westpac, signing the MOU during the renewal of partnership on Wednesday 26th March 2025.

Westpac Fiji has renewed its partnership with Leadership Fiji for another three years in order to invest in initiatives that shape the next generation of leaders.

Westpac Fiji Chief Executive Officer Shane Smith says education and leadership, particularly in financial literacy, are at the heart of what they do in the community.

He says by investing in programmes like Leadership Fiji, they are helping to build a future where individuals are empowered with the knowledge and skills to drive positive change in their communities and the economy.

Leadership Fiji says it has evolved over the years, with a strategic vision to establish a Leadership Centre for Fiji and the Pacific, and to expand its offering of leadership programmes across all levels of society.

They say its vision is to develop and enhance the quality of leaders in Fiji, and it took a significant step forward in 2024 with the launch of the inaugural Executive Leadership Programme, which assists leaders in coping with the demands of the ever-changing world, so that Fiji can reach its full potential.

Leadership Fiji Chief Executive Officer Sharyne Fong, says Westpac’s commitment and support highlights the vital role they play in nurturing leadership and strengthening nation-building efforts.

She says such collaborations are vital in strengthening leadership capacity and ensuring inclusive progress for Fiji’s future, in driving meaningful social and economic change.
