Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has today stressed that the government will not interfere with the Commission of Inquiry, nor will they interfere with the functioning of the Commissioner of FICAC.

While speaking to the media in a press conference this afternoon, Rabuka said they will not interfere because this is an independent body, and it comes under the Judicial Services Commission.

When questioned on when he expects the Commission of Inquiry into the FICAC Commissioner appointment to be completed, Rabuka said he will not comment on the matter further and he will await their report.
