Minister for Youth and Sports, Parveen Bala says we need an agricultural sector that is ready to bounce back and we need ecological stability that ensures that resources are available for our future generations.

While speaking at the closing of the Empowerment Training on Farming as a Business at Drasa Secondary School in Lautoka, Bala says the training was targeted towards school dropouts who were looking for ways to succeed in life.

Bala says the Ministry through its non-formal education training, are providing equal opportunities to any young person who may have dropped out of the formal education system

The Minister urged the youth to plan for success so that they could transit from subsistence to a small business and from a small to a medium business.

The three-day training saw participation from eight youth clubs such as Yalovina Youth Sports & Social Club, Nabulivou Youth Club, Wainamo Youth Club, Vunadoi Youth Club, Teidamu Youth Club, Nacilau Youth Club, Nayaqali Youth Club and One Nation Our People Youth Club.
