Fiji is a beautiful multi-racial nation and we must all join and take pride in the pleasant and mutual respect that defines our beautiful society.

This was the message of the Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry Charan Jeath Singh while wishing the Fiji Muslim Community all the best in their celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday today.

The Minister says this occasion serves as a time of reflection, unity and reverence for the thoughtful teaching and exemplary life of the Prophet.

He says today, everyone as a nation honours the Prophet’s legacy and we must be inspired by his message of compassion, justice and equality.

He adds these values remind us of the importance of embracing each other's cultures and traditions with respect and understanding.

Singh says this celebration must strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity among everyone.
