Minister for Health Dr Atonio Lalabalavu has stated that they have sufficient supply of saline solution bottles to last Fiji for the next 5 to 6 months.

This is after the Ministry received several container loads which he confirms have 100,000 saline bottles.

He confirmed this to fijivillage News at the Fiji Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Services Centre.

Dr Lalabalavu stated in Parliament on Monday that the Ministry takes its work seriously after comments were made on social media of a shortage in saline solution which they had clarified due to the global shortage.

He says as of right now more medicines have come in including leptospirosis and dengue kits with dressings amongst others.

The Health Minister adds they still have a number of containers of medical supplies yet to be cleared at the wharf.
