SODELPA General Secretary, Viliame Takayawa

SODELPA General Secretary, Viliame Takayawa Junior says the party has received nothing in writing after Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka revealed today that he will decide by next week on whether SODELPA will break away from the coalition government.

When questioned by fijivillage News on Rabuka’s comments that SODELPA has done enough damage in the running of an effective government and they have to obey what he says or they move out, Takayawa says they are unaware of what Rabuka is saying.

When questioned on his comments on social media regarding the Fiji Mission to Tonga allegedly partying, Takayawa says he was informed by his relatives that the delegation was late and he put it up on his personal account after hours.

When asked on whether he understands that as General Secretary of a party, any comments will always be seen as a public comment from him, he says he had to make the comments based on what he was told by his relatives in Tonga.
