We expect Police to bring strong competition on Wednesday-Vakatalai

We would like them to come prepared and give us a good competition on the day.

These are the words by the Manager of the Army Netball Team, Lieutenant Edward Vakatalai as they prepare to take on the Fiji Police Force in the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Netball competition on Wednesday.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports, Liueutenant Vakatalai says that with Army defending their title for the fifth consecutive year, they expect a strong challenge from the Police side.

Lieutenant Vakatalai also commended the commitment of his players, despite the demanding nature of current military operations.

He says training sessions are held twice daily, supported by personal fitness programmes that players complete at home before joining the team for group drills.

He also mentioned that one of the major challenges this season has been balancing sporting commitments with operational duties, including mandatory female deployments to United Nations missions.

He adds that these responsibilities have made it difficult to maintain a consistent team roster over the past five years.

Despite the pressures, Lt Vakatalai says the RFMF camp remains focused, determined, and respectful of their opposition.

The Sukuna Bowl Netball match will be held this Wednesday at 9am at the National Gymnasium in Suva .
