The Education Ministry is targeting to complete rebuilding the 32 severely damaged schools in the Northern Division in 6 months.

These schools are currently being temporarily fixed to accommodate students for the new school year.

This is being done by the engineers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and the Australian Defence Force teams.

The Permanent Secretary for Education, Anjeela Jokhan says temporary learning shelters such as tents will be used by students of those schools which have suffered severe damages.

She says one of the schools is Lekutu Secondary School in Bua.
