We are ready for big teams at home - Hetet

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua prop Haereiti Hetet

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua prop Haereiti Hetet says they are ready to take on the big teams at home, because this is their fortress where they train in the heat every day.

In an interview with fijivillage Sports, Hetet says every Drua home game in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific is memorable because the crowd is unbeatable.

For someone that never dreamt of playing rugby professionally, Hetet is about to start his fourth season with the Drua.

He says while growing up, he would just enjoy a couple of games on the weekend with friends.

When asked on the difference in making the switch from club to professional rugby, Hetet says it is more about a new environment, going in not knowing anyone is probably the most challenging thing.

He says his journey in the Drua has been awesome, as he has been growing with the club and the boys that have been there from the start.

Hetet has connections to Matuku, Yaroi in Lau through his father, former Fiji Water Flying Fijians prop Joeli Veitayaki. The Drua host the Brumbies on February 15th at the HFC Bank Stadium in their opening round.
