National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad says they are not that stupid to take away the social welfare benefits of the most vulnerable when they come into government.

While answering a question about free tuition and social welfare on fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan, Prasad says due to the increase in cost of living, the next government will have to seriously look at increasing the benefits, but he cannot say by how much at this stage.

Prasad says an elderly person in Nakasi had told Prasad that they have been told that if Prasad comes into government, their social welfare payments will stop.

Prasad says some of the benefits put in by the current government are good policies.
