As the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua looks forward to this week’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific round 13 clash against the Blues, coach Glen Jackson has stated that they are just glad to be home and not have to worry about travelling abroad this week and next week.

Following their 36-33 win over the Reds last week in Suva, the Drua will want to back that performance up and claim their second consecutive win to keep their hopes alive for a top 6 spot with three games remaining.

Jackson says it is a six-day turnaround for them since last Saturday and the players need to be well looked after, especially with their recovery after playing under a very hot day.

He also says he is looking forward to coming up against the Blues’ coach and former Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Vern Cotter, and Jackson is just stoked that Cotter will be here with a good team.

The last time the two teams played in Fiji was in February last year when the Blues ended the Drua’s long winning streak at home with a 34-10 win at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The Blues will be playing in Suva for the first time, and they will look to keep their winning record against the Drua, who will also want to claim their first-ever win over the Blues since joining the competition in 2022.

The Drua will take on the Blues at 7.05pm Friday at the HFC Bank Stadium.

In other matches this week, the Waratahs will play the Reds at 9.35pm Friday, the Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 7.05pm Saturday and the Force will host the Brumbies at 9.35pm Saturday.
