The NSW Waratahs will play out of Wollongong for the first time in their history, hosting the Chiefs at WIN Stadium tonight.

Head Coach, Rob Penney made several changes to the side that ran out winners over the Lions last week, namely on account of injury.

Rob Simmons, Jake Gordon, Mark Nawaqnaitawase and Tom Robertson have all been omitted from the Round 6 squad however, their injures are not considered serious.

Ryan McCauley, Mitch Short and James Ramm all join the starting XV; with Rory O'Connor and three potential debutants, Pat Tafa, Michael McDonald and Siosifa Lisala all joining the bench.

The changes also see Kurtley Beale elevated to the captaincy role with Jack Dempsey appointed as vice-captain.

The Waratahs will face the Chiefs at 8.15 tonight.

The Sunwolves will play the Brumbies at 3.45 this afternoon, the Crusaders will take on the Reds at 6.05 tonight, the Hurricanes will play the Blues at 6.05pm tomorrow, the Rebels will face the Lions at 8.15pm tomorrow, the Sharks will take on the Jaguares at 1.05am Sunday and the Bulls will play the Highlanders at 3.15am Sunday.
