Devo Babas to face Police Blue in final

Former Fiji 7s halfback Taniela Yaya showcased his brilliance once again during the semifinal round of the Fiji Bitter Wairiki 7s tournament, leading Viti Roofing Devo Babas to a thrilling 24-19 victory over BLK Lavidi Brothers in extra time.

Lavidi Brothers scored a last-minute converted try to level the scores at 19-all, forcing the game into extra time.

Yaya, sealed the victory for Devo Babas with a well-executed grubber kick during the additional period before collecting the ball and running over the tryline to steal the win.

In the second semifinal, Police Blue was also put to the test by Flame Tree Waimanu but came out victorious 26-nill victory to advance into the final.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s final, Lilian Amazon will take on Tagimoucia Ranadi, and in the U18-U21 final, Aloha Taveuni will face Dominion Brothers.
