Wairiki 7s: Exciting match-up in Men’s eliminations

An exciting match-up is expected in the 16th Fiji Bitter Wairiki 7s Men’s eliminations this afternoon as defending champion Wardens Gold will take on Koolwota Babas in the third elimination match.

Looking at the other elimination matches, Police Blue will take on Royal Brothers, BLK Lavidi Brothers will take on Combine Service, Wairiki Rugby will play Sydney Tilivabukuya, Fresh’et Navy will meet Veilomani Brothers, Police White will take on Ucunivatu Rugby, Tagova Babas will play Spearhead Yalovata and Somosomo Sharks will face New Dawn Rugby.

The men’s eliminations will start at 1.45pm today.

In the U21 division, Aloha Taveuni 1, Aloha Taveuni 2, Village Boys, Northern Sharks, Raiwasa Taveuni, Vuna Brothers, and Qeleni Young Boys are through to the quarter finals after they won their elimination matches.

Aloha Taveuni 1 defeated Wailevu Tunuloa 21-12, Village Boys beat New Dawn 1 7-0, Aloha Taveuni 2 beat Greensand 7-0, Northern Sharks defeated Wairiki Rugby 5-0, Raiwasa Taveuni defeated Royal Brothers 15-7, Kingdom Babas lost to Vuna Brothers 5-0 and, Qeleni Young Boys beat St Peter Navawakau 14-5.

AD Pallet Ba River is currently playing Tacilevu.

The U21 quarter finals will start at 3.45 this afternoon.

Day 4 of the Wairiki 7s is underway at the Wairiki Grounds, Taveuni.
