Waidina Secondary School and Wainimala Secondary School are currently leading the boys and girls divisions of the Coca Cola Triple N Zone respectively as day 1 of the competition is currently underway at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
So far, Waidina Secondary has won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in the boys’ division, followed by Wainimala Secondary with 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze while Nakasi High School is in third place with 1 gold and 1 silver.
The gold medals from Waidina came from Ratu Iokobo Kuruduadua who won in the junior 1500m with a time of 4.54 seconds and Ratu John Mahoni who won in the senior 1500m with a time 4.38 seconds.
In the girls’ division, Wainimala Secondary leads with 1 gold and 3 silver, Naitasiri Secondary School is in second place with 1 gold and 3 bronze while Lomaivuna High School is third with 1 gold.
