WOWS Kids Team Leader, Viola Lesi has thanked Vatis Communications for donating essential items for Fijian children suffering from cancer.

Donations include food items such as corn flakes, biscuits, milk and apples and other items such as toothpaste, soap, diapers and toilet paper.

Lesi says they are deeply humbled by the generosity shown by the Vatis team during these uncertain times.

She says their children are part of the vulnerable group that is affected during pandemics like Covid-19 as they already have weakened immune systems so they do not want them going out and getting exposed.

Vatis Chief Executive officer, Arnold Chanel says in times like these it is very easy to forget the vulnerable in society so they decided to provide something to WOWS Kids and help ease some of the burden faced by families dealing with cancer.

Chanel says they hope to set an example to other private sector organisations to come out help those who need it.

He says business owners should not forget that ordinary Fijians will be the ones buying their products once this is over.

37 children with cancer are currently being looked after by WOWS Kids in the central and eastern alone with 3 palliatives.
