If you are living in the greater Labasa area, please store water as the Water Authority of Fiji will be conducting planned works from 9am Thursday.

WAF says the planned works will allow their teams to carry out maintenance work to the Benau/Volanau DN375mm and DN300mm Nasealevu raw water line leakages.

They say during the planned works, families will experience a temporary disruption to their water supply.

Some areas that will be affected are Soasoa, Vunivau, Basoga, Batinikama Branch Road, Bulileka, Vaturekuka, Batinikama, Urata, Boca, Paras Point, Boubale, Vatunibale, Line Point, Low Cost, Vitandra and Mani Road.

Water carting trucks are on standby and can be requested in the case of an emergency by calling 1507.
