WAF tells people to pay their bills if they can during the disconnection grace period

WAF tells people to pay their bills if they can during the disconnection grace period

By Vijay Narayan
27/05/2020

The Water Authority of Fiji is urging people who are able to pay their water bills in full to do so.

This comes in light of many customers not clearing bills during the disconnection grace period which ends on 31st July 2020.

The Authority says customers are reminded that they are not exempt from payment and that disconnections were stopped as part of WAF's COVID-19 care package to ensure Fijians have access to water which is essential in the fight against the virus.

It says this grace period should not be looked at as an opportunity to dodge bills - if you can, continue to pay as normal.
