Water Authority of Fiji Chief Executive Officer Barry Omundson has resigned from his position due to personal reasons.

WAF Board Chairman Bhavesh Kumar says they have accepted Omundson’s resignation and wish him and his family all the best for the future.

He says Omundson fostered a culture of accountability and led a dynamic transformation journey with a focus on efficient and effective service levels.

Kumar says under his leadership WAF saw significant improvements across multiple sectors.

The WAF Board has begun the search for a new CEO.

During the transition period, the WAF Board will be working very closely with the Executive Management and employees to ensure that they continue to deliver an efficient and effective level of service to the people.
