Due to heavy rain since this morning, some parts of Ba including Vutuni Road, Namosau, Maururu Bridge, Moto Bridge, Marnitawa and Toge are flooded.

Some residents say it has been raining heavily and the water level at Elevuka Creek has started rising.

They say if the rain continues and with the next high tide, there is a possibility that Ba River could burst its banks.

The Ba Town Council says the water has started coming into the Ba market and the vendors were advised to clear the premises and evacuate.

They say some shops in Ba town were forced to close down due to this situation.

The Town Council urges everyone to exercise caution when navigating through affected areas to avoid crossing flooded roads and to mitigate potential risks.
