Former Melbourne Storm star Suliasi Vunivalu will make his return to Super Rugby for the Queensland Reds when they meet the Rebels tomorrow night.

The 27-year-old was hit with a hamstring injury during the pre-season.

Vunivalu has been ripping in at full pace and in contact sessions for several weeks since getting the final tick that his troublesome hamstring is strong again after two surgeries.

The man from Toorak made his debut for the Reds during the 2021 Super Rugby Australia.

Vunivalu will start on the left-wing while fellow Fijian, Filipo Daugunu will be on the right-wing.

Other players included in the Reds' starting 15 are Ryan Smith, Connor Vest, Harry Wilson, Tate McDermott, James O'Connor, Hunter Paisami and Jordan Petaia.

The Reds who are currently in 4th place in the Super Rugby Pacific points table will meet the Rebels at 9.45 pm tomorrow.

In other matches this week, the Crusaders will take on the Blues at 7.05pm tomorrow, the Chiefs will meet Moana Pasifika at 4.35pm Saturday, the Highlanders will take on the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Saturday and the Force will face the Waratahs at 9.45pm Saturday.
