Vunimono High School continues to impress in the Under 19 category, delivering a dominant 5-1 victory over Tavua College in the Extra Supermarket Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship Association 2025.
Vunimono High had earlier handed defending champions Tilak High School a 2-1 defeat, further cementing their reputation as strong contenders in the tournament.
In other Under 19 matches, Shri Guru Nanak Khalsa College edged out Suva Muslim College 1-nil, Seaqaqa Central College secured a narrow 2-1 win against Ba Sangam College, while Tavua College fought hard to claim a 2-1 victory over Kamil Muslim College.
Sigatoka Andhra College recorded a 1-nil win over South Taveuni Secondary School, Rakiraki Public High School also beat Swami Vivekananda College 1-nil, and Tabia Sanatan College defeated Ba Methodist High School 2-nil.
All Saints Secondary School secured a narrow 1-nil over South Taveuni Secondary School, and Tilak High School defeated Kamil Muslim College 3-2.
In the Under 17 category Labasa College and Tilak High School played out a 1-all draw and Labasa Sangam College and Nadi Sangam SKM College also finished their match in a 1-all, while Ba Sangam College and Rishikul Sanatan College battled to a nil-all draw.
In the Under 15 category, Labasa Muslim College secured a narrow 1-nil victory over Vunimono High School, Central College defeated AD Patel College 2-nil, while Nadi Sangam SKM College edged Tavua College 2-1 and Labasa College also recorded a 2-nil win against DAV College Suva.
In the open Girls category, Duavata Secondary School delivered an impressive 4-nil victory over Maharishi Sanatan College, Labasa Sangam College defeated Tavua College 2-1, Vunimoli Islamia College beat Nadroga Arya College 2-nil and Waiqele College beat Pundit Vishnu Deo College 3-nil.
Tavua’s Nilsen College narrowly defeated Central College 1-all, Xavier College also claimed a 1-all win over Korovuto College, Ba Sanatan College dominated Dreketi Central College with a 4-1 win, and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School beat Nadi Sangam SKM College 2-nil.
The championship continues to showcase strong competition across all categories as schools strive for top honours.
The finals will be held on Saturday at Govind Park.
