Vulikaci excited to run on the tracks at the HFC Bank Stadium

Vulikaci excited to run on the tracks at the HFC Bank Stadium

PC: Fiji Sports Council

14-year-old Rositalei Vulikaci is looking forward to running on the tracks at the HFC Bank Stadium for the first time when she participates in the Coca Cola Maritime Zone tomorrow.

Vulikaci will take part in the Sub Junior Girls 100 metres, 200 metres and long jump for Ratu Finau Secondary School.

She says it is a dream come true to be in Suva and she is enjoying the sightseeing and does not want to return to the island due to long hours of travelling from Lau to Viti Levu.

She adds running on the tracks at the stadium is way faster, compared to running on the grass back in the village.

Teacher, Viliame Katina says they are bringing 7 athletes for the competition and most of the students are first-timers in Suva.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium. Meanwhile, the $45 three days Grandstand tickets are on sale at the Fiji Secondary Athletics Association head office at McGregor Road, Suva while the Embankment and grass tickets will be sold at the gate on the day.
