Vodafone Launch VitiKart

Vodafone Launch VitiKart

05/08/2020

Vodafone Fiji today launched Fiji's first fully-fledged online market place VitiKart.

Acting CEO Ronald Prasad says VitiKart is much Amazon, Ebay and AliExpress but on a smaller scale.

He says the platform will provide end to end purchases to delivery services for mobile users.

Prasad says this online market place is convenient for people who live in the maritime and rural regions where they can shop from the comfort of their own homes.

Local businesses involved are Vodafone, Valuefone, Courts & Cybercity, Tappoos, Prouds and Jacks.

Prasad says the long term goal will include the micro-entrepreneurs who sell Fijian Made products to join the platform.

While launching the event the Minister for Trade Faiyaz Koya says VitiKart will provide the local businesses a platform to recover and expand on a wide scale.

He says when businesses are not restricted by logistics like time and location, they have more opportunities to boost revenue.

Koya says they are encouraging local businesses to be part of online platform like VitiKart.

The VitiKart app will be available for Apple store for iOS and Android users from today.
