Suva wins Fiji FACT title after beating Nadi 1-0

Vodafone Premier League champions, Suva are the new winners of the Vodafone Fiji FACT after they beat defending champions, Nadi 1-0 in the final at Subrail Park.

They win the $17,000 prize money.

Suva’s winner came through Nadi player, Afraz Ali's header clearance which hit the back of Serevi Waqa and landed into their own net in the 49th minute of the match.

Suva has won the tournament after 8 years and this is their third win.

They first won the title in 1995 where they defeated Labasa 4-0 at Subrail Park and they last won in 2012 after beating Ba 1-0 at Govind Park.

Suva has lost in the final of 5 major tournaments since 2018.

Awards:

Fair Play Team of the Tournament Award has been given to Nadi.

Golden Glove Award has been given to Suva’s Goalkeeper, Beniamino Mateinaqara.

Golden Boot Award has been given to Sairusi Nalaubu of Suva after he scored 5 goals in this tournament.

Player of the Tournament Award has been given to Shahil Dave of Suva.
